Beauty advent calendars have become a modern Christmas tradition, and this year two of the most anticipated offerings from Liberty London and Harrods are already available for pre-order. Industry insiders predict that demand for these luxury countdowns will be higher than ever, with many expected to sell out by late October.
Liberty's 2026 calendar, priced at £285 but valued at over £1,300, features a curated selection of skincare, makeup, and haircare from both iconic and emerging brands. Highlights include Sunday Riley's CEO Vitamin C serum, Lisa Eldridge's Baume Embrace lip colour, and Augustinus Bader's The Face Oil. The waitlist is open now, with pre-orders starting in early August.
Harrods has also unveiled its 2026 offering, a £270 calendar worth an estimated £1,039. Inside, 34 products—21 of which are full-size—span categories from makeup to haircare. Standout items include Hourglass's ambient lighting blush, a £75 voucher for Currentbody devices, and Nars' Total Seduction eyeshadow stick. Harrods additionally offers a fragrance calendar (£225) and a hair and body calendar (£99).
Other retailers, including Selfridges, Space NK, Cult Beauty, and Harvey Nichols, are expected to release their calendars later this summer. Last year, cult Beauty's 40-product calendar sold out rapidly, while Space NK's featured Augustinus Bader and Sol de Janeiro. Beauty editors urge shoppers to sign up for waiting lists early to secure the best deals.
