Jolleys Pets Plans to Double UK Stores with 250 Locations
Jolleys Pets to Double UK Stores to 250

Jolleys Pets, the UK's second largest pet retailer, has announced plans to double its number of stores across the country, aiming to reach over 250 locations within five years. The chain opened its 124th store in Derby on July 10, with six additional outlets set to open in August and September in areas including Evesham, Great Yarmouth, and Sheffield.

Expansion Strategy and Targets

The expansion follows a "strong year" for the company, according to Chief Executive Adam Dury. He stated: "This was a strong year for Jollyes as we transformed our offer, built our store network at pace and invested in our colleagues. But this is only the beginning – we're determined to accelerate our growth as we bring Jollyes' value to more places to serve more communities."

Earlier this year, Jolleys released a list of over 160 target locations, with particular interest in Birmingham, Liverpool, Bristol, Leicester, and Manchester. The company is seeking sites of 3,000 to 7,000 square feet in retail parks or prominent roadside locations, with a goal of opening 26 new stores this year if suitable sites are found.
