John Lewis top 10 Christmas toys 2026: wooden play set and dolls house

John Lewis has revealed its top ten toys for Christmas, predicting families will ditch screens for play time this festive season. The retailer is hailing the joy of the toy box and expects wish lists will be topped with products that encourage loved ones to spend time together.

A wooden breakfast set and classic dolls house are among the toys that have made the cut. The John Lewis Wooden Breakfast in Bed set features a serving tray, toast, croissant, yoghurt and fruit pieces for £24.

Paddington dolls house and classic toys

The dolls house is based on Paddington the bear. The Le Toy Van Paddington Doll's House is priced at £299.95 and is based on the nation’s favourite bear and the four-storey Brown family home.

John Lewis says Marvin’s Magic is set to bring back the joyful charm of the classic living room show, with the Marvin's Magic Treasured Tricks Wooden Set, £39.99. Ever the Christmas classic, popular brands such as Lego are also still expected to triumph this year, with a new Icons 10361 Winter Village Collection Holiday Express Train, £109.99, predicted to be a bestseller.

K-Pop trend and interactive toys

John Lewis also believes K-Pop to be a continuing trend, with its list also featuring a Rumi Singing Doll for £34.99. Meanwhile, the Connetix Ball Run Launcher, £45, is an interactive that allows kids to build and swap tube pieces to see how each change transforms the outcome of their run.
