Home Bargains has issued an urgent product recall for several beer lines following concerns over possible rodent contamination at a brewery. The recall alert was issued by TJ Morris Brewing after signs warned of potential rodent contamination at the drinks manufacturing facility.
A recall notice was displayed at a Home Bargains store on Aigburth Road in Liverpool on Tuesday. Shoppers are being urged to check if any products they have bought are affected and to avoid drinking any affected items.

The recall covers 5-litre kegs across five beer varieties with the following best before dates:

Separate Recall for Micellar Cleansing Water
In a separate recall, Unilever UK has issued a warning for certain batches of Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water (730ml) sold at Home Bargains. Testing revealed potential bacterial contamination in some units, which could lead to eye inflammation for certain users.
Shoppers are advised to inspect the base of the bottle to find the batch code. If the product corresponds with the recalled numbers, they should cease using it straight away. The product can be returned to any local Home Bargains branch for a complete refund, or customers can contact Unilever Consumer Care directly for advice.
