Home Bargains has caused a stir online with a new bag priced at just £6, which shoppers say is strikingly similar to a designer version that costs over £100. The budget retailer's 'Originals' bag has been compared to the Bogg Bag Original, which sells for £101.14 on Amazon.
The two bags share a number of features, including matching shapes, waterproof and washable plastic material, and almost identical designs with holes on both sides and similar handles. However, the more expensive version has the brand's name along the base and a 'b' sign on the handles, which the Home Bargains bag lacks.
Home Bargains shared a clip of the bag on Instagram, captioning it: "New in and only £6 - The only bag you'll need this summer!" The video, which showed the bag in blue, pink and white, quickly racked up over 1,300 likes and dozens of comments from excited shoppers.
One impressed shopper wrote: "Ooooh I sense a new viral must have," while another said: "Omg Bogg bag [alternative]! Absolutely need!" Others praised the price, with one comment reading: "Home Bargains that price is fantastic." The bag was also described as "gorgeous" and a perfect match for Crocs.
With a price difference of around £95, the Home Bargains bag offers a significant saving for shoppers looking for a similar style without the hefty price tag.
