Long queues formed in Cardiff city centre on Wednesday, October 21, as crowds rushed to the popular hot chocolate café Knoops to claim a free drink. The giveaway, held to celebrate Chocolate Week, offers a free drink to anyone who has the Knoops app.
Knoops, which opened its Cardiff store last year, is known for its expertly crafted luxury chocolate drinks. The shop specialises in customisable chocolate milkshakes, hot chocolates and iced chocolate across a large range of strengths.
Free Drink Offer Details
Customers can claim a small 34% cocoa blend or 54% cocoa blend, along with their choice of milk or dairy alternative, completely free. The deal is available at all UK stores, including Cardiff's branch on The Hayes, next door to Oliver Bonas.
From 12pm, crowds gathered around the store to claim their free small hot chocolate, which is usually priced at £3.95. The queues stretched back past Oliver Bonas and Giggling Squid, reaching the door of St David's shopping centre.
How to Claim the Free Drink
To claim the offer, customers need to register on the Knoops app. Once an account is created, users can click on the free hot chocolate option, scroll to the bottom and select Cardiff. They then choose whether to takeaway or drink in, pick their free hot chocolate (34% or 54%) and milk or dairy alternative, select a time such as ASAP, and wait for their order.
The promotion is part of Chocolate Week celebrations, with the free drink available while the offer lasts at participating stores.
