Dunelm has cut the price of its 'lusciously thick' Annalise Mid Century Floral Wool Rug by 20%, bringing the cost down from £269 to £215.20. The 160cm x 230cm (5ft x 7.5ft) rug is among the items shoppers are buying during the retailer's autumn sale.
The slightly smaller 120cm x 170cm (4ft x 5.5ft) version is available for £159, while the larger 200cm x 290cm (6.5ft x 9.5ft) size costs £419. The rug blends intricate botanical patterns in a pastel palette, and is hand-crafted in a quality wool loop pile that adds depth and dimension to the design.
Rug care and maintenance
As wool is a natural fibre, shedding can be expected for an extended period. Dunelm suggests unrolling the rug and leaving it for 24 hours before use for the best results. To maintain it, the retailer advises vacuuming regularly with a nozzle attachment and cutting any loose fibres with scissors. For spills, blot immediately and spot clean with a damp white cloth, avoiding rubbing or over-saturating the fibres.
Dunelm also recommends adding an anti-slip mat underneath the rug to prevent slipping, and rotating the rug every few months to prolong its life. Anti-slip mats are available from £5.
