Cult Beauty has launched The New Nineties Edit, a beauty box worth £142 that is available for £42. It contains seven products from brands including MAC, Laura Mercier, Vieve and Hourglass, four of which are full-sized, designed to recreate trending 90s-inspired makeup looks.
What’s inside the box
The products focus on nude tones, lived-in liner and skin-like finishes, allowing shoppers to create both minimalist and metallic glam looks. The box includes the Hourglass Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara in ‘Ultra Black’ (travel size, 5g), the Natasha Denona Mini Eye Sculpt Palette in ‘Cool’ (full size, 0.8g) and the Kevyn Aucoin Precision Eye Definer in ‘Black’ (full size, 0.06g).
Also included are the MAC Lip Pencil in ‘Cool Spice’ (full size, 1.45g), the Morphe Mini Bake & Set Powder (mini size, 2.6g), the VIEVE Bounce Balm in ‘Grind’ (full size, 10ml) and the Laura Mercier Blurring Pure Canvas Primer (full size, 30ml).
Shopper reactions
Cult Beauty shoppers have praised the set, with one saying: “Probably one of the best sets Cult Beauty has ever done. Every single product feels high quality and the value is amazing. Absolutely worth it, I love it!”
Another added: “One of my favourite ever edits. This is an edit where I know I will get use out of every single thing, so it feels even better value than it already is. I was so excited for this edit, and all the products delivered on that excitement. Such an amazing box, I really hope for more like this!”
However, some shoppers were less impressed, with one noting: “Slightly disappointed as the colours didn’t really work for me. But that’s not a failing of the kit itself which was a good price for what you get.” Another wrote: “I really like the the Denona mini palette and the primer, however the rest of the products sadly weren't for me. Still very glad I got to try out this edit tho!”
