Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Black stout hits Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Waitrose
Clarkson's Hawkstone Black stout hits three major UK supermarkets

Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone Black stout is now on sale at three major UK supermarkets: Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Waitrose. The award-winning drink, brewed with 100% British-farmed ingredients, is one of the most popular products from Clarkson's Hawkstone Brewery in the Cotswolds.

Supermarket rollout announced on Instagram

A video featuring Clarkson and his Clarkson's Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper was uploaded to Instagram, accompanied by a caption reading: “Need a proper stout? Our award-winning Hawkstone Black is in the aisles at Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose. You know what to do.”

Fans responded enthusiastically in the comments, with one person writing: "Would love this in the US. We could all use a drink over here…" Another commented: "please ship to Malta."

Blind taste test and brewery expansion

In a separate promotional video on the same platform, Clarkson said his partner Lisa Hogan blind-tested Guinness against Hawkstone Black and preferred the latter.

Hawkstone launched in 2021, with the first batches of beer made using barley from Clarkson's Diddly Squat farm. Beyond the stout, the brewery produces Hawkstone Premium Lager, which was the first product to reach supermarket shelves, and has since expanded to include Hawkstone Session Lager, Hawkstone Pils and Hawkstone Cider.
