Clarks has cut the price of its Code C Lace trainers, billed as the brand's 'comfiest trainers' ever, by 25% in a limited-time sale. The shoes, released just a few weeks ago, are now available for £66.75 instead of £89, saving shoppers £22.25.
Six colours and wide fit options
The trainers come in six colourways: white, navy, pale green, light pink, pewter metallic and black. They are available in sizes three to eight, including half sizes, in both D (standard) and E (wide) widths.
Made from premium leather with a durable, flexible sole, the style features Clarks' most advanced dual-layer comfort technology. The cushioning absorbs impacts and returns energy to power the wearer forward, while a lace fastening offers a secure and customisable fit.
Comfort technology and design details
The Code C Lace trainers have a lightweight Strobel construction that allows for flexible, full-range motion. They are finished with a 35mm heel height that provides underfoot cushioning while remaining easy to walk in.
The sale is part of a wider promotion that has seen dozens of shoes, boots and trainers slashed in price at the retailer.
Alternatives and customer review
Elsewhere on the high street, Marks and Spencer's Leather Lace Up Platform Trainers retail for £59, featuring Freshfeet technology to minimise odours and Insolia Flex technology for enhanced comfort. FitFlop's RTG Leather Trainers retail for £90, with Anotomicush midsoles and anatomical arch contour.
One shopper reviewed the Clarks trainers glowingly, saying: "With a high instep and wide foot, these are a dream to wear. The comfiest things I have worn for a long time." They added: "I am 70 and worn an awful lot of shoes that are too tight. These are great."
The trainers are made from leather, so those preferring synthetic materials may want to avoid this option.
