Boots has reduced the price of the Clinique Daily Essentials Skincare & Mascara Gift Set to £45 as part of its weekly rotating Star Gift sale. The set, which is worth £122, contains four full-sized products from the brand.
The high-end skincare company launched in the late 1960s in the United States before opening its first overseas beauty counter in London a year later. Its products are dermatologist-developed and fragrance-free.
What's Inside the Set
The gift set includes the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+, worth £38 on its own, along with the All About Eyes Eye Cream with Vitamin C, valued at £36. It also features the All About Clean Liquid Facial Soap Mild in a 200ml size and Lash Power Mascara Long-Wearing Formula in a 6ml size.
Each of the four full-sized items works out to cost £11.25, which is cheaper than buying the products individually. The set also comes with a green makeup bag for storage at home or on the go.
Shopper Reviews
The Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ has an overall star-rating of 4.2 based on 616 reviews on Boots' website. One shopper said: "I've been using this original formula for over 30 years. I discovered it when I hit 30, I'm now 63. I've actually got a few bottles on the go."
Another reviewer commented: "I'd heard lots of good things about this moisturiser and thought that it might be too good to be true. How wrong I was. I have typical dry menopausal skin and after just a few days use, morning and night, my skin was much brighter and no dry patches."
However, not all feedback was positive. One shopper gave the moisturiser a three-star review, stating: "I had high hopes based on the reviews description. This hasn't altered my dry skin one bit despite using morning and night, I'm very disappointed." Another two-star review mentioned: "I love the product but not the packaging. The lotion does not easily come out of the bottle and I can see that I will not get the last bit out."
