B&M is selling the Blaupunkt Log Effect Electric Stove, a freestanding heater designed to warm individual rooms quickly without relying heavily on central heating. The appliance offers two fan-assisted heat settings—900W (low) and 1,800W (high)—plus an independent flame-only mode.
Based on the UK standard electricity unit price cap of 26.32p per kWh, running the stove could cost as little as 1p per hour, depending on the setting used. The flame-only effect (no heat) costs approximately 1p to 2p per hour, the low heat setting (900W) costs 23.7p per hour, and the high heat setting (1,800W) costs 47.4p per hour.
