Pro Breeze dehumidifier 22% off in Prime Day deal

The Pro Breeze OmniDry Dehumidifier has been cut by 22% in Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale, dropping to £104.97 from £134.99. The appliance, which is Good Housekeeping-approved and rated 'great value' by Which?, can remove up to 12 litres of moisture per day using a compressor.

Features and running costs

The dehumidifier comes with a two-litre water tank and offers continuous drainage via an included hose. An automatic humidity sensor lets users set a preferred humidity level between 30% and 80%, and the appliance switches off automatically once that level is reached to save energy. Three modes – auto, continuous and sleep – plus a 24-hour timer are included, with noise levels below 38dB.

Pro Breeze says running costs can be as low as 7p per hour, based on October 2022 energy prices, so actual costs will vary depending on a household's current electricity tariff. Four wheels allow the compact unit to be moved between rooms. The black 12L model with a built-in laundry mode is reduced to £104.97, though other capacities, colours and add-ons are available at different prices, all reduced in the sale.

Alternatives and customer reviews

Other options include the PureMate 2200ml Portable Dehumidifier at £69.99, down from £99.99 at Debenhams, which offers 600ml moisture extraction and a digital display with timer. At Boots, the Duux Bora 20L Smart Dehumidifier 2 costs £299.99, with a 20-litre capacity and a laundry mode.

The Pro Breeze OmniDry has a 4.5 out of 5-star rating from Amazon shoppers. One reviewer said: “Just the right size for my utility space, and castors are a useful addition to move the unit around to help dry laundry. Cheap to run and the fan is quiet, even on full. Humidity light indicators are a bonus. Overall, a great little dehumidifier.” Another wrote: “First time using this today, and I was gobsmacked… Within 30 minutes, the room humidity came down to 55. The tank was half full. The room smells fresher and less stuffy.” A third added: “Brilliant - didn’t realise I have so much moisture in the house. It is a real eye-opener. Noise level is quiet and a good value for the price… I haven't used my tumbler since I purchased it.”

Some customers noted drawbacks, including a difficult-to-see instrument panel on the black model, and the lack of a replacement filter should one be damaged during cleaning. The Pro Breeze OmniDry Dehumidifier remains available from Amazon.
