Aldi is bringing back its viral 4.5kg XXL Inclusion Candles from Sunday, November 1, as part of a festive SpecialBuy sale. Priced at £24.99, the candles have drawn online comparisons to The White Company's similar £95 Winter Indulgence Botanical Candle.
The "handmade" candles, described by Aldi as packed with "natural inclusions," are available in two fragrances: Winter Spice and Scandinavian Forest. With a burn time of roughly 200 hours, they are positioned as a centrepiece for the holiday season.
Fragrance and Comparison
Aldi's Winter Spice option contains notes of mandarin, cinnamon and clove, while The White Company version features "Cinnamon, Clove and Orange." The Scandinavian Forest scent smells like pine, eucalyptus and cedarwood, similar to The White Company's Fir Tree option (£45), though that version is not available in an XL six-wick variety.
The sale begins in all Aldi stores on Sunday, with the candles available in the middle aisle while stocks last.
Other Festive Homeware
Alongside the XXL candles, shoppers can find smaller versions, including a 1.1kg Rectangular Inclusion Candle (£12.99) and 660g pillars (£5.99). Festive-themed doormats, cushions and other homeware are also part of the sale.
Stock may remain from the previous middle aisle refresh on Thursday, October 29, which included lights, ornaments and garden decorations.
