On Sunday, 17 May, Aldi will release its latest limited-edition wooden toy range, and it is expected to sell out quickly once again. The budget supermarket's 'Specialbuys' have a history of flying off the shelves, from cookware and vacuums to solar panels, but the toy range has proven particularly popular. In previous years, shoppers queued early in the morning, and TikTok videos showcased crowded stores with trolleys piled high. To manage demand, Aldi previously limited purchases to two toys per child.
New Items for 2026
This year's range introduces several new products. The wooden outdoor BBQ (£24.99) comes with barbecuing tools and a grill hood, and can be paired with BBQ food accessories (£9.99, sold separately). The mud kitchen (£34.99) includes a bread oven, washing up rack, double burner stove top, and utensil holders. Mud kitchen accessories (£9.99) feature four sets of stainless steel or wooden pots and bowls, a baking set, and a veggie prep set.
Other Highlights
The range also includes a wooden shop front (£29.99), which can be paired with a set of shop front and role play accessories (£14.99). These accessories allow children to create a coffee shop, florist, village shop, post office, theatre, or vet. Whether your child aspires to be a barista, actor, or animal lover, these toys encourage creative play. Additional items include a wooden easel, table and chairs, bookshelf, and picnic play bench.
All toys are priced under £35, making them an affordable option for parents. To secure your items, mark 17 May in your diary and head to your local Aldi store early.
