Aldi has announced the quietest times to shop at its UK stores during the school summer holidays, helping families avoid crowds and save money. The supermarket advises visiting before 10am or after 8pm on weekdays, with Saturday evenings also typically quieter.
Quietest Shopping Hours
According to Aldi's in-store data, the quietest periods are before 10am and after 8pm on weekdays, with some quieter slots later on Saturday evenings for weekend shoppers. Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi UK, said: “We know the school holidays can be a busy and expensive time for families, so we want to make shopping as simple and affordable as possible. By visiting during quieter periods and making use of Aldi’s everyday value, shoppers can save both time and money this summer.”
Price Cuts and Savings
Aldi has invested more than £200 million in price cuts so far this year, reducing costs across fresh and frozen food, household essentials, and personal care products. The supermarket also offers several ways to save, including the 'Super 6' fresh produce deals, which feature six fruit and veg items at low prices every two weeks. Shoppers can freeze suitable items and take advantage of Aldi's Fresh Guarantee for a full refund if unsatisfied.
Red-sticker reductions on bakery, meat, and deli items nearing their best-before dates can offer discounts of up to 75%, typically found later in the day. Aldi's weekly offers focus on fresh meat and fish, and families can use the online meal planner for budget-friendly recipe ideas.
Specialbuys and Summer Support
Aldi's Specialbuys arrive every Thursday and Sunday, with details released two weeks in advance via in-store leaflets or the website. The Summer Support Scheme offers one family a £50 Aldi voucher each day in July and August; entry requires emailing name and address to SummerSupportScheme@aldi.co.uk. New parents can apply for the Mamia New Parent Fund by sending a receipt of their latest Mamia nappy purchase to mamiaparentfund@aldi.co.uk for a chance to win a £100 voucher every week.
