Blackstone Parmesan ranch seasoning sold at Walmart stores across the United States and on the Blackstone Products website has been recalled due to potential salmonella contamination, the company announced Wednesday.
Recall Details
The recall affects 7.3-ounce bottles of Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning with product number 4106. Affected bottles have specific Best If Used By dates ranging from July 2, 2027, to August 12, 2027, and lot numbers 2025-43282, 2025-46172, and 2026-54751.
The contamination risk originates from a dry milk powder ingredient that was previously recalled by California Dairies, Inc. This ingredient was used in the seasoning blend. No illnesses have been reported to date, but salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.
Consumer Advice
Customers who have purchased the recalled seasoning are advised to dispose of it immediately and not consume it. They should contact Blackstone Products for a replacement or refund. The company can be reached via its website or customer service line.
This recall is linked to a broader issue involving the same potentially contaminated dry milk powder. Other products that have been recalled include SKS Copack beverages, Kroger croutons, and various frozen pizzas sold at Aldi and Walmart. Consumers should check their pantries for any affected products and follow disposal instructions.
Salmonella symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Anyone who experiences these symptoms after consuming the recalled product should seek medical attention immediately.
