The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued multiple "do not eat" notices covering items such as pasta, fruit, crisps, chutney, and hot cross buns. Customers who have purchased any affected products are urged not to consume them and to return them for a full refund, with no receipt required.
Morrisons Recalls Coronation Chicken Pasta and Maple & Bacon Crisps
Morrisons has recalled its Coronation Chicken Pasta 230g after discovering that some packs may contain Florida Salad, which includes milk not declared on the label. This poses a serious risk to those with milk allergies or intolerances. The affected packs have a use-by date of June 30 and batch code GBB 584 031.
Additionally, Morrisons is withdrawing its Maple & Bacon Back of the Net crisps (140g packs) with a best-before date of August 22. Due to a packaging error, the crisps may contain undeclared milk. A Morrisons spokesperson stated: "Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund. We don't need a receipt."
Morrisons Savers Cashews Recalled Due to Glass Fragments
Morrisons has also recalled its Savers Cashews 125g due to the potential presence of glass fragments. The affected best-before dates include August 9, September 6, September 26, September 28, and October 9. A Morrisons spokesman commented: "No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience."
Fruit Recalled Across Multiple Supermarkets Due to Salmonella Risk
Prepworld has recalled several fruit products stocked at Morrisons, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Waitrose after testing revealed salmonella in apples and kiwi fruits. The affected items include Asda Pink Lady Apple, Mango, Strawberry & Blueberry (use-by June 23-24), Morrisons Kiwi, Melon & Strawberries (June 24), Tesco Melon, Kiwi & Strawberry (June 24), Tesco Kiwi Fruit Pot (June 24), Waitrose Pink Lady Apple and Grapes (June 23), Sainsbury's Melon, Kiwi & Strawberry (June 23), Sainsbury's Orange & Kiwi (June 23), Sainsbury's Pink Lady Apple & Grape (June 23), Tesco Fruit Kebabs (June 23), and Tesco Melon, Kiwi & Strawberry (June 23-24).
An FSA spokesman warned: "The possible presence of Salmonella in the products listed above. Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps." Consumers experiencing symptoms should stay away from work, school, or nursery for at least 48 hours after symptoms cease.
Arran Chutney Recalled for Metal Fragments at Tesco and Sainsbury's
Fox's Burton's Companies (FBC) UK has recalled Arran Fine Foods Caramelised Red Onion Chutney (195g and 1.35kg packs) due to possible metal fragments. The affected batches include best-before dates from November 2025 to August 2027 for various sizes. The product has been removed from Sainsbury's website and is out of stock on Tesco's online platform.
Waitrose Hot Cross Buns Recalled for Undeclared Barley
Waitrose & Partners is recalling its 4 Richly Fruited Hot Cross Buns because they contain barley, which is not declared on the label. Customers with a barley allergy should not consume the product and can return it to any Waitrose store for a full refund without a receipt.
