Liverpool Transfer News: Diomande, Alisson Updates

Liverpool's summer transfer window activity has taken shape with developments on two key fronts: the pursuit of RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande and the future of goalkeeper Alisson Becker. Diomande has insisted that discussions about his future can wait until after the World Cup, while Alisson is reportedly close to an exit after agreeing personal terms with Juventus.

Diomande Delays Transfer Talks

Diomande, 19, has been a primary target for Liverpool, who expressed willingness to pay up to £86 million for the Ivory Coast international. However, RB Leipzig are reluctant to sell and want to negotiate a new contract with the player. Diomande's agency, Roc Nation Sports, has been sounding out top European clubs for months, with Paris Saint-Germain also interested, but Liverpool's chase is considered the most advanced.

Speaking after Ivory Coast's 2-0 win over Curacao, which secured their first-ever knockout stage appearance in a World Cup, Diomande said: "Right now, I don't know. I am not thinking about my future after the World Cup. I am trying to put all my energy into the World Cup and we will see what is going to happen after that. I can say nothing about."

Alisson 'Agreed Contract' with Juventus

Football agent David Lavelle has revealed that Alisson Becker agreed personal terms with Juventus, but the deal fell through due to a disagreement over the transfer fee. Lavelle told Oggi Sport Notizie: "It must be remembered that Liverpool have changed their manager. Iraola probably wants to take a look at everyone. Alisson only has one year left on his contract. I know he’s reached a personal agreement with Juventus. The Brazilian is worth around €15 million (£13m) or so and the Bianconeri entered the race for this goalkeeper with a brazen offer. I don’t know if the Juventus management offered €7m (£6m) to Liverpool just because he’s in the final year of his contract."

Lavelle added that Liverpool would want to keep Alisson, citing the need for experienced players in the dressing room as Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk approach potential departures. Alisson is currently on duty with Brazil at the World Cup.
