Asda has issued a recall for three specific bags, priced between £8 and £16, urging customers to stop using them immediately and return them to any store for a full refund.
The retail giant warned that the bags, recently on sale, contain excessive concentrations of Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, also known as DEHP. According to the official recall notice, phthalates are harmful to health and may cause damage to the reproductive system, meaning the products fail to meet safety requirements under the REACH Regulations.

- OPP Tote Bag - £16 (Product Code: 1100260834001, Barcode: 5059206491797)
- Black Nylon Phone Bag - £8 (Product Code: 1100258939001, Barcode: 505920628577)
Customers who have purchased any of these bags are urged to stop using them and return them to an Asda customer service desk.

An Asda spokesperson said: "If you have purchased any of the above bags, please bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund. You do not need your receipt. We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused."
