Tennis star Casper Ruud has demonstrated incredible generosity this festive season, gifting both of his younger sisters their own luxury penthouse apartments as an early Christmas present.
A Grand Slam Gesture
The 26-year-old Norwegian athlete, currently ranked world number 12 in the ATP standings, has officially transferred ownership of two premium properties to his sisters completely free of charge. According to reports from Norwegian outlet Nettavisen, Ruud originally purchased the apartments in 2021 and 2024 respectively, paying substantial fees of NOK 5.2 million (£390,000) and NOK 6.45 million (£480,000) for the luxurious homes.
Family First for the Tennis Pro
The fortunate recipients of this extraordinary generosity are Ruud's sisters, 25-year-old Caroline and 19-year-old Charlotte. While both sisters are building their own paths, they share connections to the tennis world that has brought their brother such success.
Charlotte, the younger sister, is actively pursuing a professional tennis career herself, currently training at the prestigious Rafael Nadal Academy and competing in Futures tournaments. Caroline has taken a different route, building a social media presence where she shares fitness, lifestyle, and travel content with her growing audience.
Funding the Family Gifts
This remarkable gesture has been made possible by Ruud's highly successful tennis career, during which he has accumulated total prize money of $26,128,848 (£19,743,741). The Norwegian player has strategically invested portions of his earnings into property, with these sisterly gifts representing just part of his growing portfolio.
Additional income from sponsorship and commercial deals has likely contributed to his investment capabilities. Despite not yet claiming a Grand Slam title, Ruud has reached three major finals - the French Open in 2022 and 2023, and the US Open in 2022 - facing tennis legends Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Carlos Alcaraz in these championship matches.
Ruud's most recent tournament appearance was in October at the ATP Masters 1000 in Paris, where he was eliminated in the round of 32 by Germany's Daniel Altmaier. His absence from Wimbledon this year was later explained as he and his fiancée Maria Galligani await the birth of their first child, marking another significant family milestone for the generous tennis star.
