A homeowner has been forced to pay £150 for professional car repairs after their neighbour's automatic sprinkler system repeatedly soaked their vehicle, with the neighbour allegedly refusing to address the issue and even escalating the conflict.

The dispute centres around a neighbour believed to be in his late 50s who has an automatic sprinkler system that activates every morning at 6:30am. According to the affected homeowner, one sprinkler head is angled directly toward their driveway where they park their car.
"Every single morning my car gets completely soaked," the homeowner explained. "We're talking drenched – water pooling on the hood, all over the windows, everything. My car is constantly covered in water spots and mineral deposits."
The homeowner has asked their neighbour five times to adjust the problematic sprinkler head, but received dismissive responses. The neighbour claimed the system was "professionally installed and calibrated perfectly" and refused to make any changes.
From Dismissal to Direct Confrontation
When shown how much water was hitting the car, the neighbour reportedly told the homeowner: "A little water never hurt anyone," and that they should be grateful he was "helping" to wash their car for free.

"I've started parking on the street but it's a 5 minute walk to my house and street parking is limited," the frustrated homeowner said. "My own driveway should be usable!"
