Ruggable and Anthropologie Launch Washable Rug Collection for UK Homes
Ruggable and Anthropologie Launch Washable Rug Collection

As a lifestyle editor, I have long admired Ruggable rugs for their exceptional practicality. In a household with muddy shoes, spilled wine, and the general chaos of everyday life, a durable and washable rug is not just a luxury but a necessity. However, beyond their functional benefits, Ruggable's extensive range of styles, colours, and patterns has always been visually captivating. The latest collection to capture my attention is Ruggable's exciting new collaboration with Anthropologie.

A Match Made in Home Decor Heaven

Anthropologie is a store designed for magpies like myself, offering a vibrant rainbow of colours, sparkling details, and eclectic homeware. This distinctive aesthetic is beautifully reflected in the new collection, where Scandinavian folk references seamlessly blend with heritage florals and looser, painterly palettes. The 10-piece collection, created in partnership with Anthropologie Home, includes seven versatile rugs and three practical doormats.

Design Philosophy and Versatility

The collection is rooted in the premise that compelling interiors are layered over time rather than meticulously styled. These spaces are shaped by what we inherit, collect, spill on, and sit with. These rugs are designed to be versatile, intended to sit comfortably beneath both heirloom furniture and contemporary ceramics, creating a warm, lived-in feel.

Among the standout pieces is the Ella Slate Blue rug, which pays homage to chintzy folk florals and vintage textiles. Its soft slate ground is artfully scattered with varied blooms in green, pink, yellow ochre, and wine red. The Clove design is available in both Navy and Green colourways. Each draws inspiration from Scandinavian flat-weave traditions and Persian-style medallion motifs, expertly balancing geometric patterns with softer floral elements.

The navy version pairs warm neutrals and earthy browns with restrained touches of red and pink, while the green offers a cooler base of cream and muted tones, elegantly lifted by blue and olive accents.

Shared Vision and Strategic Growth

Katherine Finder, Chief Merchandising Officer at Anthropologie Home, commented on the partnership: ‘Our collaboration with Ruggable has been effortless thanks to our shared belief that home is where life unfolds. Together, we created a collection that seamlessly combines Anthropologie’s distinct design sensibility with Ruggable’s unparalleled functionality. Each rug is designed to support the way our customers truly live, encouraging homes that feel effortlessly layered, warmly lived-in, and authentically their own.’

For Ruggable, this collaboration signals continued expansion in the UK market, following its successful launch with John Lewis last year. This new collection features the brand’s innovative all-in-one format—a one-piece washable rug system designed to simplify the earlier two-part construction, making maintenance even easier for consumers.

Design-Driven Innovation

Maria O'Brien, Vice President of Design at Ruggable, added: ‘We are proud to bring Ruggable to Anthropologie, a brand that reflects our belief in thoughtful, design-driven living. Our in-house design team created this collection specifically for Anthropologie, blending their signature aesthetic with Ruggable’s expertise in pattern, texture, and washable innovation.’

The Ruggable x Anthropologie Home collection is now available for purchase via Ruggable.co.uk and Anthropologie.com.
