The winning numbers for the National Lottery Lotto draw on Wednesday, August 19, have been announced, with an estimated jackpot of £4.3 million up for grabs.
Winning Numbers for Both Rounds
In the first round, the winning numbers are 01, 06, 24, 32, 48, and 54, with a bonus ball of 09. In the second round, the numbers are 04, 08, 10, 17, 23, and 28, with a bonus ball of 16.
The Thunderball draw, which took place at 8.15pm, produced winning numbers of 02, 03, 11, 12, and 24, with a Thunderball of 06.
How the Draw Works
Since a major change in June, each Lotto draw now consists of two separate rounds. All players are automatically entered into both draws with one ticket, costing £2.
In the first round, a set of 59 balls is entered into the draw machine. Six balls are drawn plus the Bonus Ball. Matching two or more numbers from a Lotto line wins cash. In the second round, another set of 59 balls is used, with the same rules applying.
Prizes and Timing
Matching five main numbers plus the bonus ball wins £1,000,000, while matching five main numbers secures £1,750. The Lotto draw took place at 8pm, followed by the Thunderball draw at 8.15pm.
