Impact on Customers

Customers with holidays or events booked on or before August 31, 2025, are expected to travel as planned, as ABTOT has arrangements in place. These customers can manage their reservations using Groupia's existing VIP booking system. However, those with reservations from September 1, 2025, onwards have been informed that their plans will not proceed. The website states: "Your event will unfortunately be cancelled and is subject to a refund claim."

Refund Process

Customers who paid via credit or debit card may reclaim funds through their card provider via a credit card refund or debit card chargeback. Groupia has provided template letters for customers to forward to their banks. Those who paid using other methods can lodge an online claim with Gallagher Bassett, which represents ABTOT. Claimants must supply booking confirmation and evidence of payment. Refund claims may take up to six weeks to process.
