Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's beloved Bentley, which once featured his personalised 'Duke of York' number plate, is on sale for £125,000 at a dealership in Doncaster, it has emerged. The former Duke of York's car has only clocked 7,000 miles and was driven by the disgraced royal at his father's funeral in 2021 and other events.
Car's History and Features
Andrew's former car, the Bentley Flying Spur, was reportedly bought new for £220,000 six years ago. The ex-prince had it resprayed from its original blue to Barnato Green. The car features beige leather interior, a panoramic sunroof, heated and massaging seats and a Breitling clock.
Although Andrew was seen driving the car with his “DOY” plate on, the number plate is not for sale, and it is no longer listed on the DVLA website. According to The Times, the luxurious vehicle is understood to have been sold to a specialist Bentley dealership in 2024 or 2025.
Royal Links Discovered
Andrew lost his titles and honours in late 2025, due to his links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He denies any wrongdoing. His former car was bought from the dealership by Portland Autos in Bawtry; however, the supplier did not immediately realise it once belonged to the Royal Family.
Clive Watson, the car supplier's owner, told the newspaper: “We found it had a very strange service history, so made some inquiries and realised it was a royal household car, and eventually we put two and two together and worked it all out.”
He added: “We didn't buy the car from the royal household directly, Andrew was often seen behind the wheel of his Bentley Flying Spur, now on sale for £125,000 it came through a third party, but the fact that it was owned by a royal is likely to help sell it as it is both something of interest about the car and it means it will have been incredibly well cared for.
Dealer's Comments
“The Bentley is beautiful, in flawless condition and has just 7,000 miles on it.”
Mr Watson added: “The royal households generally take very good care of the cars and are easy to deal with. Much better than footballers, anyway.”
