Plus500 lifts outlook as new customers jump 27%

Trading platform Plus500 has upgraded its full-year revenue and earnings guidance after reporting a 27% year-on-year surge in new customers during the third quarter.

The FTSE 250 company attracted 28,747 additional customers in the three months to September 30. Revenues climbed 11% to 203.2 million US dollars (£152.2 million) over the quarter, while underlying earnings rose 7% to 88.4 million dollars (£66.2 million).

Outlook raised on strong first nine months

Plus500 said full-year results were now on course to surpass market expectations, citing "strong financial performance and meaningful strategic progress in the first nine months of 2026". Most analysts had forecast 2026 revenues of 837.6 million dollars (£627.2 million) and earnings of 358 million dollars (£268.1 million).

David Zruia, chief executive of Plus500, said: "Plus500 has delivered significant strategic and operational progress in the third quarter and throughout 2026, underpinning strong financial results.

"We expanded our global reach and product suite, which continued to attract increasing numbers of higher-value customers."

Expansion into prediction markets and new products

The company confirmed it had pressed ahead with its new product expansion alongside ongoing strategic acquisitions, including the recently-announced deals to purchase two broker-dealers in the US and Brazil.

Plus500 entered the prediction markets sector in February, followed by sporting events in June, coinciding with the World Cup football tournament held across the US, Mexico and Canada. Prediction markets allow traders to buy and sell shares linked to the outcomes of real-world events, with sport remaining the most actively traded category.

During the third quarter, the group drove further product innovation, including the rollout of 24/5 trading on stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Since the end of September, it has also bolstered its capabilities to facilitate 24/7 trading on gold, silver, oil and natural gas.

Further launches in the pipeline

"Together, these launches broaden product choice, cater to evolving customer preferences and demonstrate Plus500's ability to deliver product innovation at scale," the group said.

The company confirmed that additional product launches are in the pipeline to fuel further growth.
