The National Lottery is urgently searching for a missing EuroMillions winner who has just seven days left to claim a prize worth £177,547.30. The six-month deadline expires at midnight on Wednesday, July 15, and the ticket was purchased in the Watford area for the draw on January 16, which had the code number 1912.
Winning Numbers and Prize Details
The winning numbers for the January 16 draw were 5, 17, 24, 29, 50 and Lucky Stars 5, 10. The ticket holder matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star, securing the Match 5+1 Star prize level. If the prize remains unclaimed, the money along with all accrued interest will be directed to National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.
Urgent Appeal from National Lottery Officials
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, stressed the urgency: “Time is now running out for this mystery winner. In just one week, the deadline to claim this £177,547.30 EuroMillions prize will expire, so we’re asking everyone who may have bought a ticket in the area to make one last thorough check.”
Carter added: “We’ve searched for more than five months, but there is still time for this lucky ticket-holder to come forward. Check that kitchen drawer, your wallet, the glovebox of the car, the pockets of old coats and bags – anywhere a ticket could have been tucked away and forgotten.”
Call to Spread the Word
He also encouraged the public to help: “With only days remaining, we’d also ask people to spread the word. Talk to friends, family, neighbours and colleagues who may have played EuroMillions back in January. Our priority is making sure this prize reaches its rightful owner before the deadline passes and this incredible opportunity is lost forever.”
How to Claim the Prize
Prizes of this size must be claimed in person during the claim period. The ticket holder should call the National Lottery on 0333 234 44 33 to register the win and arrange a date and time to claim the prize. The National Lottery advises checking all possible locations where the ticket might have been stored.
