Lloyds Banking Group has introduced a new in-app rewards hub, Lloyds Rewards, offering customers the chance to win cash prizes and access exclusive discounts. The hub is available to customers of Lloyds, Halifax, and Bank of Scotland, all part of the Lloyds Banking Group.
Monthly Cash Prize Draws
Every month, 50 randomly selected customers will win £2,026 each. To qualify, customers must deposit at least £1,000 into their account during the calendar month, through a combination of salary, pensions, or benefits. Winners can re-enter each month, even if they have won previously. The prize draw must be activated monthly via the Lloyds app or online banking.
Additional Prize Opportunities
Lloyds Rewards also features rotating prize draws. For instance, in June, customers can win a trip to Disneyland Paris. For every £20 spent on debit card purchases, customers earn one entry, with no maximum limit. Additionally, customers who set a reminder for when their broadband, energy, or mobile contract is due to end are entered into a draw to win £5,000. Furthermore, 50 customers who visit the Lloyds Rewards app three times in a month will each receive £50.
Discounts and Cashback
The hub provides access to new discounts and cashback offers. In June, customers can save on Apple products and accessories. Other offers include cashback at retailers such as Sainsbury's, B&M, IHG, and more. Customers can access Lloyds Rewards by opening the Lloyds app and navigating to the Rewards section.
Paul Wilkinson, Rewards Director at Lloyds, commented: “We’ve created Lloyds Rewards to expand the ways customers can make their bank account work harder, and their money go further. From prize draws and cashback to discounts and challenges, we’re helping people get something back from their everyday spending. There is so much on offer that there really is something for everyone.”
This launch comes amid reports that Lloyds Banking Group is considering phasing out the Halifax brand, potentially ending its 173-year history. According to The Sun, bosses may announce the end of Halifax as a standalone brand this summer, though no final decisions have been made.
