Judges at the World Drinks Awards praised the champagne for its elegant peach and sherbet lemon notes, hints of elderflower, and beautifully fine mousse. They described it as "elegantly complex without being loud" and recommended pairing it with grilled seafood and shellfish.

Lidl also secured the titles of World's Best Crémant and World's Best Prosecco. The Marquis de Plagne Crémant de Loire AOC Brut (£8.99) was awarded World's Best Crémant, with judges noting its fresh apricot aromas, crisp citrus character, and vibrant lime notes. The Allini Valdobbiadene Conegliano Prosecco Superiore Extra Dry DOCG (£7.99) took World's Best Prosecco, recognised for its delicate kiwi notes, soft fruitiness, and signature "fluffy bubbles."

Lidl has consistently received praise for its wine range. In 2023, its Montaudon Champagne Brut was voted "tastier than Moët" in a blind test involving over 2,500 tasters.
