E.ON Next to Pass Full £150 Energy Bill Savings to All Customers in 2026
E.ON Next confirms £150 energy bill savings for 2026

Millions of UK households are set for a welcome financial reprieve next year, as a leading energy supplier commits to passing on substantial government-led savings directly to customers.

E.ON Next has announced it will transfer the full benefit of reductions confirmed in Chancellor Rachel Reeves' Autumn Budget to every one of its customers starting from April 2026.

Direct Savings with No Action Required

The company's position is clear and customer-friendly. The savings will be applied automatically to bills from April, meaning customers on both standard variable and fixed-term tariffs do not need to take any steps to receive the lower rates.

An E.ON Next spokesperson stated unequivocally: "When these savings start in April, we'll pass them on in full to all our customers. No ifs. No buts. No small print. People are under pressure and they deserve to feel the benefit directly on their bills."

Industry-Wide Move to Cut Bills

E.ON Next is not alone in this pledge. The move follows the government's commitment to tackle high energy costs "at the source," and other major suppliers are following suit.

Octopus Energy has also confirmed it will apply the Autumn Budget benefits across all its tariffs from April 1. Its CEO, Greg Jackson, said, "Octopus has long called for cuts in policy costs to help bring bills down... We'll pass them through on all of our tariffs as soon as they kick in, so no one misses out."

Similarly, British Gas has welcomed the government's steps, with a spokesperson confirming, "We'll of course ensure all our customers benefit – including those on fixed-term tariffs."

What the Savings Mean for Households

The financial impact for consumers is set to be significant. E.ON Next estimates that the average household will save approximately £150 per year as a result of these changes.

This coordinated action by major suppliers represents a direct response to the cost-of-living pressures faced by families across the country, ensuring that promised government support translates into tangible reductions on energy statements.
