Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid and Ed Balls return after Easter break

Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls returned to ITV screens on Monday morning (April 14) following their Easter break. The pair had last appeared together on the programme on Wednesday, March 25.

During their absence, the show was fronted by Rob Rinder, Ranvir Singh, Charlotte Hawkins, Paul Brand and Adil Ray. Ahead of Monday's broadcast, Susanna shared a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram showing her arrival at the studio and a brief chat with Kate Garraway, who remarked on her new hairstyle.

In the clip, Susanna said: "Come in with me! We’re back in the studio, and Kate’s already here." Kate replied: "Morning, ooh and a nice hair chop!" Susanna also posted a photo with Ed Balls and Kate, captioning it: "WE’RE BACK! Great to return to the @gmb studio this morning after a lovely Easter break."

Viewers were quick to welcome her back, with one commenting: "So good to see you back, looking FRESH, Susanna." Another wrote: "There she is. Glad to have you back."

While Reid and Balls have returned, Lorraine Kelly and the Loose Women panel remain off air. Their shows confirmed at the start of March that they would be taking "a few weeks" away, without specifying a return date. This comes as both programmes are now scheduled to broadcast for 30 weeks a year instead of the usual 52.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.
