Tyson Fury Quits UK for Isle of Man Tax Haven in £8m Move
Tyson Fury moves family to Isle of Man tax haven

Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has reportedly left the United Kingdom, relocating his entire family to the tax-friendly Isle of Man.

A New £8 Million Home in a Tax Haven

Tyson Fury, his wife Paris, and their seven children are said to have swapped their long-term home in Morecambe, Lancashire, for a lavish mansion near Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man. The property is valued at approximately £8 million.

The move appears to be legally documented, with the latest filings for both Tyson and Paris Fury's companies on Companies House listing their residence as the Isle of Man as of 1 December.

Understanding the Tax Advantages

The Isle of Man, a self-governing Crown Dependency, operates its own tax system separate from the UK. This system offers significant financial benefits for high earners like Fury.

The top rate of income tax on the island is 21%, starkly lower than the 45% rate Fury would be liable for in the UK on earnings over £125,140. Furthermore, the Isle of Man has no inheritance tax, unlike the UK's 40% levy.

The family's departure from Morecambe comes just weeks after Chancellor Rachel Reeves' budget introduced a new levy on properties valued over £2 million – a threshold their Lancashire home is believed to exceed.

Family Life and a Fondness for Spuds

A source told The Sun that Fury has been informing friends of the relocation and that the couple have been exploring schools for their younger children on the island. "He is very fond of the Isle of Man and has been telling residents that he is looking forward to making it his home," the source said.

The Fury family had lived in Morecambe for 17 years. Fans have previously spotted the boxer travelling to the Isle of Man via ferries from Liverpool or Heysham.

In a lighter moment, Fury was recently seen at Terry's Tatos, a jacket potato shop in Douglas, where he spent £60 to buy all nine remaining spuds for his family, according to shop director Rachel Marsland.

The boxer's company, Tyson Fury Ltd, held £162 million in cash and investments as of June, a significant increase of £82 million since 2023, though he reportedly paid himself only £100,000 in salary. Representatives for Tyson Fury have been contacted for comment.
