Scottish Transfer News LIVE: Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs

The Scottish football transfer window remains active as clubs across the Premiership and beyond finalize their squads. Celtic have made only one signing so far—Camilo Duran—and fans are eager for more arrivals amid fears that Callum McGregor could leave. Meanwhile, Rangers have been among the busiest clubs, with Cammy Devlin becoming their sixth new arrival. Midfielders Vanja Dragojevic and Jens Hjerto-Dahl remain targets, and a return for Vaclav Cerny is possible. However, manager Derek McInnes has admitted that exits may be necessary before further signings can be made. John Souttar and Danilo are reportedly among those who could be sold.

Hearts and Aberdeen Active

Hearts are searching for a replacement for Devlin as Wouter Vrancken looks to strengthen his squad. Aberdeen have sold Topi Keskinen for over £1 million, while Falkirk boss John McGlynn is confident that two loan signings will be completed despite delays. As first reported by Record Sport, Dundee United have signed Bastia winger Mehdi Merghem on a two-year deal.

English Premier League Moves

Down south, Arsenal are poised to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle in a £75 million deal, while Manchester United are considering a move for Nottingham Forest's Neco Williams. It promises to be a big week for transfers across the UK.

Joe Bevan Scores First Dundee Goal

Joe Bevan opened his Dundee account on his first start and expressed confidence in filling the void left by Cam Congreve and Tony Yogane. The youngster, signed from Burnley last season, scored the third goal in a Premier Sports Cup win over Airdrie. Bevan said: "It is the monkey off the back with the first goal. It is something to build on and in front of the home supporters as well was nice. My job is to beat my man one-on-one, to have shots and create chances for guys like Ash (Hay)." He added that training with Congreve and Yogane helped him learn aspects of their game.

Ross MacIver Hat-Trick for Falkirk

Falkirk striker Ross MacIver is ready to put last season's injury torment behind him after hitting an opening-day hat-trick. He scored twice in the first half on Saturday, with Ben Parkinson adding a close-range goal as John McGlynn's side led 3-0 after 26 minutes. Connor Allan added a fourth before MacIver tapped in a late fifth against Edinburgh. MacIver, 27, was limited to nine league starts last term due to an ankle injury. He said: "Last season I started off playing then it was disappointing being out for so long. All I want to do is play as many games as I can."

Jalmaro Calvin Stays at St Mirren

Jalmaro Calvin admits he considered leaving Scotland last season but is now determined to succeed at St Mirren under new manager Craig McLeish. The Jamaican winger was frozen out by former boss Stephen Robinson but made his first competitive appearance for Saints in a win over Dumbarton. Calvin said: "A few times it crept into my mind to go back home. But, as a kid, my dream was always to play in Europe. So I just had to hold onto a little bit of hope that it was going to get better. Richard King helped me through it. He always told me that my time would come. Now I want to play as much as I can, score some goals and find that love back for the game." He cited the weather and gameplan as initial challenges but believes the new management will bring improvement. Samuel Ramos scored twice and assisted Thomas Falconer's late goal, while Chris Mochrie also scored as St Mirren began their trophy defence in style.

Dundee United Signing Confirmed

Dundee United completed the signing of Bastia winger Mehdi Merghem on a two-year deal, as first revealed by Record Sport last week. The club is active in the window as they prepare for the new season.

Rangers and Celtic Updates

Rangers' Derek McInnes made a huge call over the captaincy and admitted the club may need to sell before buying more players. Celtic, meanwhile, have been quiet in the market, with only Camilo Duran arriving so far. Martin O'Neill has dropped two transfer bombshells, including fears over Callum McGregor's future and a call for Daizen Maeda to ignore interest and focus on his game.
