MEN Launch Premium Manchester City Service for 2025-26

The Manchester Evening News has launched a Premium subscription service for Manchester City coverage, offering exclusive insights and analysis for £4.99 a month. The service, which began in November 2025, aims to provide more original and in-depth articles that readers won't find elsewhere, while reducing the number of adverts on the website.

What Subscribers Get

Subscribers will receive multiple articles a week covering a range of topics across the club, including Q&As, an Academy Notebook with updates on young players, deeper analysis of matches and off-field issues, and a platform for fan voices. The service also includes unlimited access to the Manchester Evening News and a cleaner, faster reading experience with fewer ads.

Chief Manchester City correspondent Simon Bajkowski said: "We get that some people can’t pay for journalism and also that plenty others won’t. But we’ve also heard all the complaints about clickbait in journalism and - for our website in particular - too many adverts."

Coverage Plans

The Premium team will follow manager Enzo Maresca and his squad home and away across Britain and Europe for every match of the season. Recent coverage of the pre-season tour to Asia included a sit-down interview with Maresca, player interviews, and insights into the commercial aspects of the tour.

Bajkowski added: "After an incredible ten years with Pep Guardiola at City, it is an exciting new era under Enzo Maresca at the club and we are thrilled to be able to offer you even more access and coverage."
