Love Island 2025 star Harry Cooksley is departing his football club Farnham Town FC, a move that has left fans devastated. The 31-year-old midfielder, who finished second on the ITV dating show last summer, will not rejoin the squad for the 2026/27 season, the club confirmed on Monday (June 29).
Club Confirms Departure
In a statement, Farnham Town FC said: "We can confirm that Harry Cooksley will not be joining up with the squad for the 2026/27 season, and will be departing this summer." The club added: "Harry made 140 apps for Farnham Town, scored 24 goals and played a huge part in our success over the last three years."
Cooksley has been with the club since 2023 and continued playing after his Love Island appearance. His next career move remains unannounced, but fans are already expressing their sadness.
Fan Reactions
Reacting to the Instagram announcement, one supporter wrote: "So sad to see Cooks leave, he's such a big part of Farnham, but wish him all the success." Another commented: "Sad to see Cooks leave, huge part of the club, lovely bloke as well. All the best Cooks x." A third fan said: "Harry, you're a legend. Go well," while another added: "Shame to see that, top guy to know, best of luck @harrycooksley8 with whatever follows next."
Post-Love Island Career
Since leaving the villa, Cooksley has balanced football with social media influencing, posting videos reacting to current seasons of Love Island and vlogs about his TV presenting career. He and girlfriend Shakira Khan remain together, while winners Toni Laites and Cach Mercer have split.
