Abandoned US Mansion with £10,000 Designer Shoe Collection and Luxury Cars Left to Rot

An urban explorer has discovered a vast abandoned mansion in northeast America, containing a £10,000 collection of unworn designer shoes and luxury cars worth £80,000 left to rust. The 27,000 sq ft property, which has 10 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, was built by a local surgeon but left unfinished after his death.

Filmmaker and photographer JeremyXplores, from Nashville, Tennessee, explored the mansion, which includes four buildings. He found Chanel, Christian Louboutin and Nike Air Max shoes still in their dust-covered boxes, as well as vintage cars including a Volkswagen Bug and a Mercedes Benz. The property, valued at £10.5 million, was 90% complete when it was seized by the bank.

The surgeon moved his family into the home while it was under construction. Six months later, he and his 15-year-old son were killed in a single-engine plane crash. His life insurance policy had been cancelled due to unpaid premiums, leaving his wife and three other children without financial support. At the time of his death, £8 million was still owed on the mansion, with a monthly mortgage of £50,000.

The bank seized the property within three months, and it has remained abandoned ever since. JeremyXplores spent 11 hours filming at the freezing location, using a Sony A7IV camera. He said he found the mansion through a Google Maps search for rumoured abandoned properties.

The explorer noted that the surgeon was a highly accomplished man who had built a thriving empire with nine medical offices. The mansion, comprising three stories and a full basement, includes an indoor pool, outdoor sports complex, four-car garage, mahogany library and an elevator. During his visit, JeremyXplores encountered a homeless man living on the second floor.
