A professional couple in Bracknell is looking for someone to act as a companion for their nine-year-old Labrador. The role, advertised on Home Organisers, combines housekeeping with dog care to support the smooth running of their home.
Job Details and Pay
The successful candidate will work three days a week — Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays — totalling about 25 hours. The pay is £25 per hour, and a car will be provided when on duty. The start date is mid-September, and the family is flexible about daily working hours, happy to agree a schedule that suits the right person.
Dog Care Responsibilities
The highest priority is providing exceptional care for the Labrador. Duties include attentive daily care, companionship, walking, feeding, and attending veterinary appointments as needed. Occasional pet-sitting, including overnight care or weekend cover, may be required by prior agreement and will be negotiated separately.
Housekeeping and Admin Tasks
Alongside dog care, the role involves thorough cleaning, laundry, changing beds, food shopping, and general organisation. The candidate will also assist with household administration such as paying bills, arranging maintenance, organising birthday gifts, and occasional travel planning.
Ideal Candidate
The family is looking for someone they can trust completely, who is proactive, organised, and enjoys taking ownership. Previous experience in a similar private household role is required, along with a genuine love of dogs and experience caring for them. Excellent housekeeping skills, a full driving licence, and flexibility are also essential. The family hopes to find someone seeking a long-term position who will become a valued part of their household.
To apply, candidates should submit an up-to-date CV. Suitable applicants will be contacted to discuss the position in more detail before being introduced to the family.
