Rory McIlroy has seen his net worth soar to £325 million, according to the 2026 Sunday Times Rich List. The Northern Irish golfer added £65 million to his fortune over the past year, moving up to seventh place on the list of the UK's richest sportspeople.
McIlroy's financial surge has been fuelled by a remarkable run of success. He finally won the Masters in April 2025 to complete a career grand slam, then successfully defended his title this year, becoming only the fourth man to win back-to-back at Augusta. His major tally now stands at six.
Official PGA Tour figures show McIlroy is one of only two players with lifetime earnings exceeding £74.2 million, behind only Tiger Woods. Between April 2025 and April 2026, he earned an estimated £21.4 million on the course, including £3.3 million for his 2026 Masters victory.
Off the course, McIlroy benefits from lucrative sponsorship deals with brands such as Nike and Omega, reportedly generating around £39 million annually. His wealth has grown by £100 million in less than two years, up from £225 million in 2024.
The 37-year-old also boasts an impressive property portfolio, including a £16.2 million estate in Florida, a £10.6 million home in California, an apartment in New York, and properties in the UAE and Northern Ireland. He is currently competing in the PGA Championship near Philadelphia.
