Paloma Faith Breast Pumps at BAFTA TV Awards Nine Weeks After Giving Birth
Paloma Faith Breast Pumps at BAFTAs Nine Weeks Postpartum

Paloma Faith gave fans a glimpse into the less glamorous side of attending awards shows just nine weeks after giving birth. The singer, 44, shared a post on Instagram showing herself breast pumping in the toilets at the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday night. Paloma welcomed a son with boyfriend Stevie Thomas in March and is already mother to two daughters, aged nine and five, from her previous relationship with Leyman Lahcine.

A Night Off? Not for Celebrities

Proving that even celebrities cannot escape parenting duties, Paloma took to Instagram during the ceremony to reveal she had retreated to the restroom to pump. Making light of the situation, she filmed herself removing her wearable breast pumps and disclosed that Amanda Holden had helped her position them under her fringed black gown. Joking that the footage was 'too graphic' to show, she told fans: 'I'm in the toilets at the BAFTAs and I've just taken my magic In-bra pumps out. Breast pumping at the BAFTAs... in the toilets. I should've filmed it because Amanda Holden was the one who helped me get them in, but it was too graphic.'

Dedication Pays Off

Her efforts were rewarded as she later shared a proud photo with Amanda, 55, at their table, holding up filled bags of breastmilk with the caption: 'The end result, thanks @noholdenback'. Paloma has been candid about her breastfeeding journey, admitting it 'hurt like mad' with her first two children but she persevered due to pressure, urging mothers to 'stop blaming ourselves for everything that may succeed or not'.

Friendship with Alan Carr

Paloma and Amanda were joined by their friend Alan Carr, who beamed with pride clutching his BAFTA for the public-voted Memorable Moment Award for his Celebrity Traitors victory. Paloma shared a hilarious selfie of herself laughing as Alan posed with the trophy over his face. Amanda also posted a picture of the trio in hysterics at dinner, captioning it: 'Blondes have more fun, especially with Alan'.

Their friendship was tested last year when Alan chose Paloma as his first 'murder victim' on The Celebrity Traitors, leaving her 'p***ed off'. However, they reconciled after a grovelling phone call. Alan dedicated his award to Paloma, saying: 'There’s no one else I would rather murder more than you.'
