Several major UK retailers have issued urgent product recalls affecting thousands of shoppers across the country. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has published multiple recall notices affecting popular items sold at Sainsbury's, Morrisons and TK Maxx.
Sainsbury's Chocolate Hazelnut Biscuits Recall
Sainsbury's has urgently recalled its Taste the Difference Chocolate Hazelnut Biscuits 150g with a best before date of 31 October 2025. The product contains milk and hazelnuts which are not adequately emphasised in the ingredients list, posing a serious risk to customers with allergies.
A spokesperson for the supermarket giant stated: "We're recalling this product as a precautionary measure. Customers who have purchased this item should return it to their nearest Sainsbury's store for a full refund. No receipt is required."
Morrisons Christmas Pudding Recall
In a separate incident, Morrisons has recalled its Best Matured Christmas Pudding 907g with a best before date of December 2025. The product contains almonds that aren't mentioned on the packaging, creating a potential health risk for nut allergy sufferers.
The FSA warning emphasised: "This product may contain almonds, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts."
TK Maxx Children's Product Safety Alert
TK Maxx has also joined the recall list, pulling the Chad Valley Wooden Farm Animal Train from shelves. The popular children's toy presents a serious choking hazard as small parts can easily detach during use.
The product safety notice warned: "The small parts can become detached during use, posing a choking hazard to young children. Customers should immediately stop using the product and return it to any TK Maxx store for a full refund."

These recalls highlight the importance of product safety vigilance, particularly for households with allergy sufferers or young children. Retailers have emphasised their commitment to customer safety and are working closely with the FSA to resolve these issues promptly.
