Toblerone and Lotus Biscoff have teamed up to create a new range of chocolate truffles, blending the distinctive tastes of both brands in a single treat. The collaboration, between Mondelēz International and Lotus Bakeries, results in the Toblerone Diamond Truffles with Biscoff, which move away from Toblerone's iconic triangular bar in favour of a unique diamond shape.
A Fusion of Textures and Flavours
Each individual truffle combines several different textures. The outer coating features smooth, classic Toblerone milk chocolate, while the filling is a rich, velvety centre made of original Lotus Biscoff caramelised biscuit spread. The chocolates are also packed with the familiar crunchy, chewy honey and almond nougat pieces Toblerone is renowned for.
Social News Assistant Editor Samantha Bartlett had the opportunity to sample the new chocolates as part of a taste test. She described them in two words: "absolutely delicious."
Global Appeal and Availability
Isabelle Maes, CMO Lotus Bakeries, said: "Biscoff®'s unique caramelised taste and crunchy texture have become a global phenomenon, loved across cultures and age groups. Partnering with Toblerone - a brand synonymous with quality and indulgence - allows us to bring our iconic Biscoff® biscuit and spread experience to consumers in an entirely new and exciting format."
The truffles are currently available at major retailers nationwide in a 180g gifting box, carrying an RRP of £6.77. They offer an alternative to the usual chocolate selection box for Christmas gift lists, or a sweet treat for personal enjoyment during festive preparations.
