Tesco has explained how Clubcard customers can effectively triple the value of their vouchers by exchanging them for rewards at a selection of well-known restaurants. The participating chains include PizzaExpress, ASK Italian, Bella Italia, Frankie & Benny’s, Las Iguanas, Prezzo Italian and Zizzi.
How the offer works
Customers earn one point for every £1 spent on qualifying products by scanning their app or card at a checkout. A minimum of 50p worth of vouchers is required to take advantage of the offer. For example, 50p in Clubcard vouchers can be exchanged for a £1.50 restaurant reward, while £5 in vouchers could give £15 to spend at one of the participating restaurants. Prezzo rewards can also be used on drinks.
How to claim
To claim the deal, customers need to log into the Tesco app, head to the Clubcard section and select ‘Explore and choose rewards’. From there, click on ‘Triple Value Reward Partners’, where they can choose from the seven participating restaurant chains. Once a restaurant is selected, add Clubcard vouchers to the order. A reward code is then generated and sent by email and through the Tesco app, usually within 15 minutes.
When visiting the restaurant, show the code from the Tesco app or email to receive the discount on the food bill. In the app, the code can be found under the ‘Partners’ button beneath the Clubcard.
Restrictions and terms
There are some restrictions, and the terms and conditions vary between restaurants, so it is worth checking these before exchanging vouchers. If the full value of a voucher is not used, Tesco says the remaining amount will be returned in the form of Clubcard points.
