Nationwide has announced an 'up to £300' update for its millions of members throughout the UK. The world's largest building society confirmed on Tuesday that it is expanding the ways customers can manage their money with the launch of a new partnership.
Partnership with PayPoint
Nationwide is joining forces with PayPoint, enabling members to make cash deposits at more than 3,000 locations across the UK, on top of its existing 605 branches. Members can now pay cash directly into their Nationwide account at participating PayPoint stores, many of which are open early until late, seven days a week.
Deposit limits and availability
Customers are able to deposit up to £300 per day, with funds appearing in their account within minutes, providing greater convenience for those who depend on cash for their day-to-day banking. Nationwide stated the new service furthers its commitment to give customers choice in how they bank and access cash.
This follows Nationwide's pledge to keep all 605 of its branches open until at least 2030, making it the UK's largest single-brand network amid widespread bank branch closures in recent years.
Statement from Nationwide
Stephen Noakes, Director of Retail at Nationwide, said: 'We're pleased to partner with PayPoint to give our customers even more choice in how they manage their money. This service is a valuable addition to our branches.'
'Our leading commitment to the high street and to keeping branches open until at least 2030 remains unchanged, and this partnership helps us serve customers and communities in new and convenient ways.'
Additional services
This collaboration expands upon the wide-ranging services already available throughout Nationwide's branch network, including support such as dementia clinics and Safe Spaces for victims of domestic abuse, along with everyday banking facilities. Customers can locate their nearest PayPoint outlet through the Nationwide website or app.
