Nationwide's Let's Celebrate Towns competition is offering five £20,000 cash prizes to communities across the UK, with applications closing at 11:59pm on Sunday, October 25.
The building society, running the programme with Visa for the fourth year, aims to spotlight locations that help local enterprises flourish. Judges are looking for innovative projects that breathe new life into high streets and safeguard cherished landmarks.
Who Can Apply and How
Individual residents cannot apply directly. Instead, entries can be submitted by MPs, local councillors, council members or Business Improvement Districts. Applications take only minutes to complete.
The five prizes are awarded across five categories, including High Street Revival and Community Pride.
What the Judges Say
Rob Cameron from Visa said: "Our towns and high streets are the beating heart of our communities and our economy. With less than a month to go, now is the time to make sure your town's story is heard."
Nationwide's Mandy Beech added there is "still time to take part" for towns with stories about backing local businesses or showing community pride.
