Jet2 customers are being reminded of a strict rule that prohibits bringing hot drinks and hot food on board, even if purchased at airport shops or cafes. The airline has reiterated this blanket ban with no exceptions.

What Is Banned?

Items such as teas, coffees, hot chocolates, and any hot food purchased after security are not allowed beyond the boarding gate. Passengers must finish these items before boarding.

Why the Ban?

Jet2 states on its website: "You can't bring hot food or hot drinks onboard our planes for safety reasons." This policy applies to all flights operated by the airline.

Other Airlines

Ryanair enforces a similar ban, while easyJet permits hot drinks with secure lids. Jet2 offers hot drinks and food for purchase onboard, subject to payment rules.

New Routes to Jersey

Jet2 has announced two new routes to Jersey from Birmingham and Bristol for summer 2027, with additional capacity from Manchester and an extended season through October. The airline cites continued customer demand for the island destination.
