Woman's shock at 'worst Jellycat' from Vinted and how she restored it

A woman was left shocked when a second-hand Jellycat she purchased on Vinted arrived in a grim state, covered in pet hair and looking scruffy. Emma, who shares her finds on TikTok as @jellycats.and.me, described it as possibly the 'worst Jellycat' she had ever bought from the platform. She asked her followers: 'What feedback would you have left? I love buying second-hand, but send it clean at least.'

Despite its condition, Emma was determined to restore the light grey Bashful Bunny. She began by using a lint roller to remove as much hair as possible before placing the toy in the washing machine for 40 minutes. After the wash, the fur looked softer and cleaner, though still a bit scruffy. She then blow-dried it on a cold setting, brushed it, and trimmed around the eyes to complete the transformation.

Jellycat's care instructions advise that many products can be washed at 30 degrees in a machine, but they should not be tumble-dried, ironed, or dry-cleaned. Some items require surface washing only, so it's important to check the label. Another commenter recommended using a hairdryer's cold setting to restore fluffiness without burning the fur.
