Home Bargains has issued an urgent recall for a children's Toy Story water bottle after discovering it could pose a serious choking risk. The retailer is warning parents and carers to stop using the product immediately after identifying a fault that could cause part of the bottle to come loose during use.

The recall affects the TJ Morris Toy Story Water Bottle, which has been on sale in Home Bargains stores since May 2026. The blue bottle, which features characters from the popular Disney and Pixar film Toy Story, has a red lid and is aimed at young children.
According to the product safety notice, the drinking spout can detach from the lid, creating a small part that could become lodged in a child's airway. The notice states: "The product presents a choking hazard because the spout can detach from the lid, creating a small part. If this occurs during use, the spout may block a child's airway and cause them to choke."
Recall instructions and batch numbers
Because of the potential safety risk, Home Bargains has recalled the affected water bottles and is urging customers to remove them from use straight away and keep them out of the reach of young children. Anyone who has bought one of the recalled bottles can return it to their nearest Home Bargains store for a full refund.
The recall applies only to specific batches of the TJ Morris Toy Story Water Bottle. The affected batch numbers are 11449732, 11449736, 11449737, 11449738, 11449742, 11449743 and 11449744. Model number 75164 is also included in the recall.
The product safety notice says the water bottle does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. Parents are being encouraged to check children's lunch bags, school bottles and cupboards to see if they have one of the affected products. If they do, they should stop using it immediately and return it to Home Bargains for a refund.
