Chocolate Bonbons Recalled Over Walnut Allergen Risk

French Broad Chocolates PBC has issued a recall for its Bette's Bake Sale Bonbon Collection after discovering that a Walnut Fudge bonbon was mislabeled as Peach Cobbler in the product's tasting notes. The error means the chocolates contain undeclared walnuts, posing a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction risk for individuals with walnut allergies.

Recall Details

The affected chocolates were distributed between April 14 and April 20, 2026, in Asheville, North Carolina, and online to customers across 41 states. Consumers with a tree nut allergy are advised to discard the product or contact the place of purchase for a full refund. To date, no illnesses have been reported.

Company Response

French Broad Chocolates has urged customers to check their purchases and take necessary precautions. The recall highlights the importance of accurate labeling to prevent allergic reactions.
