Aldi has introduced the Reka walking pad, a budget-friendly fitness tool priced at £89.99, designed to help users increase their daily step count without leaving home or office. The device, available in Aldi's specialbuys aisle, offers an affordable entry point for those seeking low-impact exercise.
The walking pad can be placed under a standing desk, allowing desk workers to walk while working. It features adjustable speeds and an LED display, and is marketed as quiet and easy to store. While not independently tested by IndyBest, it comes with a 12-month warranty.
Walking pads provide a convenient way to incorporate physical activity into sedentary routines, offering health benefits similar to treadmills but at a slower pace. Aldi's Reka model aims to make this accessible at a fraction of the cost of many competitors.
The Reka walking pad is currently available in Aldi stores, though shoppers are advised to check local availability online before visiting.
